My 10 year old grandson is staying with my wife and I (Patrice). His name is Auston. Auston has fallen in love with the drums.I think he's going to be better than me. He is so quick to learn. I bought him a new Rogers set, just like the one's I played on the CSN&Y stuff. Between doing Interventions, and hanging out with him, I've had no time to sit down at the computer. Someday I will set down and tell some stories Of my life in the 60s and seventies Rock and Roll world. Thanks for following me. Got to go now. Dallas W.Taylor

Prisoner of Woodstock

There is no shortage of Woodstock survivor stories, nor much demand lately for Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young gossip; nonetheless, My story is a valuable addition to pop-music culture because I was there. As an original member of CSNY (the drummer),I also recorded with many other sixties and seventies rock icons and ended up a destitute junkie. I had cleaned myself up but was stricken with "terminal" liver disease in 1989; (I AM NOT DEAD YET!) A classic benefit concert provided funds for an operation that saved my life and to everyone who was involved I give thanks to you to this day. I share some intimate stories about some of the Woodstock generation's best-known personalities Read my cautionary tale about attaining one's sex-and-drugs-and-rock-and-roll dreams. The Photos

As a founding member of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, I get letters to this day how our music has been the soundtrack of many of your lives. In August of 1969, we debuted at the Woodstock music festival – a moment that would change our lives and yours forever. The years that followed have been filled with a tremendous amount of excitement and change. I will be using this blog as a way of sharing those memory's and I am hoping you will share yours with me.

The Music
I started out in 1967 as the drummer for the popular Los Angeles band Clear Light. The band toured and performed with such acts as Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and the Doors. Two years later I was a popular session musician working with John Sebastian when he crossed paths with Stephen Stills in an L.A. studio. The rest is history. I was soon a founding member of one of the greatest rock and roll bands of then and now. Throughout My career, I have played with many of the great rockers of all time, including Buddy Guy, Van Morrison and Jimi Hendrix. You aint seen nothing yet.
